How Do I Rip Artwork In Maintop and Open It in Well Print?

Created by service Department, Modified on Fri, 19 Apr at 9:09 AM by service Department

Open Maintop.

Select File, then Import Picture.

Select the TIFF file you have saved from Adobe Photoshop.

Make sure " Adjust to Picture Size" is selected when importing.

Next on the bottom right of the page in the grey area, select the "Print to File".

Navigate to the RIP folder on your drive and save the PRN file. This will start the process

of ripping the file into the correct format for Well Print to use.

Once you have ripped the final artwork in maintop, you cannot again re-rip this saved

PRN file. PRN files are only made to print in Well Print only.

To re-rip the file again you must again use the original TIFF format artwork. Trying to RIP a PRN finished file will result in a failed print.

Next Open Well Print and then open the file saved as a PRN.

Make sure your Margin width is set between 45-50, this controls the placement of the graphics from left to right on the printers work area. It can be adjusted.

Select the file in the drop down area and hit print on the top main menu bar.

You can also right click the text line as well and print from there.
